Length Measurement and Counting:

Fritze Dezein designs and manufactures specialized equipment for measuring the length of various materials and products for the laboratory and high-volume production line. We use a variety of methods to make measurements such as:

  • Laser sensor– non-contact, senses edges or surfaces of materials.
  • Magnetostrictive Linear Position Sensors– non-contact magnetic, analog or digital output.
  • Stepper Motor Encoder – rotary screw position feedback with quadrature encoder, digital output.
  • Linear Encoder – non-contact scale position sensing, digital display.
  • Magnetic Hall – non-contact magnetic position sensing, analog output.

These types of sensors are used depending on the properties and accuracy requirements of the article to be measured.  These sensors are designed and integrated into fixtures for laboratory use or developed for machines making high-volume rapid measurements and can be automated to make measurements without operator errors.

Fritze Dezein has engineered and integrated various linear measurement devices:

  • Non-woven filtration media cut sizes.
  • Non-woven filtration media pleat counts.
  • Air filtration media pleated length under tensile load.
  • Water filtration carbon block length.
  • Air filtration cardboard frame sizes.
  • Furniture pad thickness.
