Air Conditioning and Flow Test Stands:

Fritze Dezein can build you laboratory equipment for air treatment devices which are tested with conditioned air. We can direct air to pass to through your treatment device to determine the performance envelope of the treatment process. This test air can also be used to facilitate manufacturing processes. Examples of Air Test Stand types include:

  • Air Pressure – raising the relative pressure of the air
  • Air Flow Rate – controlling the rate of air flow
  • Air Flow Type– altering the air flow for turbulent or laminar characteristics
  • Humidification – addition of moisture such as steam
  • Desiccation – removal of moisture using desiccants and air dryers
  • Temperature – addition or removal of heat

Various types of air conditioning and flow test stands comprise versions of wind tunnels where a fan is used to push air through different conditioning steps to arrive at a controlled type of air flow environment. These wind tunnels can have a variety of features which direct and control the conditioned air as desired using diffusers, vanes, and apertures.

Each type of air condition and flow stand is unique and requires different fabrication techniques to produce at the desired stand. We use polymers and stainless steel to form the wind tunnel sections and support the sections on an extruded aluminum frame.  Various controls can be added to monitor and control the air parameters using individual controllers, or via a PLC and operator interface.
