Neupak drum and tote fillers
Neupak Automated drum filler
Neupak rotary pail filler
Neupak “flush-and-fill’ modules
Neupak 5-gallon pail net-weight filler
Neupak 4-head “flush-and-fill’ pushover
These two machines were developed to advance weigh filling of totes and drums. The one on the left had a manually adjustable filling head and a gravity driven weigh station conveyor. The one on the right shows a very large drum filler that had an automated sub-surface filling lance which kept the nozzle just above the rising liquid level – determining the liquid level by weight feedback.
This machine was deZeined for ADM to automatically sense the bung location and rotate each empty drum on its pallet correctly. Next, the filling lance enters each bung and fills each drum sequentially by weight to capacity. Pallets are driven on and off into each station.
This machine was developed from the ground up for speed! Each pail never stops as the filling head flies overhead while 5-gallon pails convey in a hair-pin corner. A special power transmission keeps the conveyor and filling head synchronized.
Here are typical mobile filling head modules which can be coupled to the filling machine. While one module is busy filling red paint, a module primed with white is ready to swap on-the-fly without any appreciable down time. These modules revolutionized the industry by eliminating down time between change-overs. Mobility enabled these to be remotely cleaned.
The inline conveyor contains a vibration-isolated weighing module which lifts each pail off of the moving chain for accurate measurement. The module them lowers the pails in a radial motion releasing the pail tangent to the chain without spilling the liquid!
This is the second generation filling machine which features Neupak’s first patent! The cans arrive on the infeed conveyor and are pushed into a weighing/filling station. The filled cans are pushed by out onto the exit conveyor as the next batch of empty ones are push in. Fast, accurate, patented.
